The staff and students at Lakedell School strive to create a Safe and Caring environment for learning.  Through the Kids With Character program we strive to promote respect for others, respect for ourselves and respect for property consistently throughout the school.  It is a character education program that directly teaches students the character traits and behaviors that are expected of them at Lakedell School.  We will be teaching the students what they need to do to follow the rules throughout all areas of the school.  Biweekly lessons will be modeled and reviewed regularly to help students develop appropriate social skills for the school setting and community.

Lakedell "Good For You" awards are given out to students who are caught showing the desirable character traits and following the school rules. During the biweekly assemblies students will be recognized for this award.
